Gaffney, Jan 7 [1908] - Mr A S Corry, who has for years been one of the most highly respected citizens of Gaffney, died at his home on Victoria avenue early this morning. Mr Corry was a quiet unobtrusive citizen and was an old resident of the city. he has been critically ill for some days, but his many friends had been hoping against hope for his recovery. Yesterday, however, it could be seen that a crisis was approaching and the end came about 5 o'clock yesterday morning. The funeral services were held this afternoon at Oakland Cemetery.
