Ruth G. Beatty

Ruth G. Beatty, 87, sister of Mary Stevens of East Riley Street, with whom she made her home, died at 10:05 a.m. Tuesday at Columbus Convalescent Center.
Mrs. Beatty was a member of First United Methodist Church and Bartholomew County Hospital Auxiliary. She also was an honorary member of East Columbus United Methodist Women.
Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Allan K. Wilson at 1 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street where calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from noon until service time Friday. Burial will be at Daugherty Cemetery.
Mrs. Beatty was born April 1, 1899, in Bartholomew County, the daughter of Henry and Emma Stanley Growe. She was the widow of Harry Beatty who died Oct. 21, 1973. They were married Feb. 26, 1916.
She was preceded in death by two sons.
