Bertie was a loving wife, mother, grandma, & friend. She married Robert "Strawberry" Kahn. They had 7 kids, 19 grandkids, & 5 great-grandkids. I'm not sure exactly how many grandkids & great grand children there are now. I know there are more than are listed here.

She worked at Kitco, in Bluffton, Indiana, until she retired. My Grandma was one of the hardest working women (& my mom) I have ever known. She not only had a job away from home, but she cleaned up after my Grandpa & she cooked! She made everything from scratch.

Us grand-kids would spend the night out at grandma & grandpa's on weekends sometimes. We would wake in the morning to Grandma at the stove making the best breakfast in the world & Grandpa at the kitchen table with his coffee & newspaper. I would gather eggs with Grandpa & when we got back in it would be time to eat.

Some of the best memories I have are from my childhood out at Grandma & Grandpa's house.
