Edna Mae Langtange, 90 to be laid to rest in Mass.
Edna Mae Langtange, 90, of Westport died at 3:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at her residence.
Visitation was held Sunday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon. The funeral will be conducted at a later date at Toomey-Obrien Funeral Home in West Springfield, Massachusetts.
Mrs. Langtange was a homemaker. She enjoyed cats, birds, traveling and camping.
Born Oct. 29, 1918, in Old Lemon, Maine, she was the daughter of Edward Vowles and Cecilia Pelkey Vowles. She married Wilford Langtange in 1940 in South Brewer, Maine. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Peter Langtange of Westport and John Langtange of Manchester, Conn.; two daughters, Deanna Barry of Chilopee, Mass. and Debra Pope of Richmond, Mass.; one brother, Vernon Vowles of Naugatuck, Conn.; one sister, Thelma Boutin of Old Town, Maine; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Wilford "Sonny" Langtange, Jr.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Jennings County.
