Lowell Tarrant
Graveside services for Lowell Tarrant, 86, of Palestine were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, at Roselawn Park with Rev. Gregory Megill officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
Mr. Tarrant died Monday morning, May 13, in a Palestine hospital.
He was born Sept. 7, 1915 in Bullard, to the late Richard Elem and Agnes Arilla Barwick Tarrant.
Mr. Tarrant was the manager for Tarrant Lumber Company. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Ricky Tarrant; four brothers, Duel Tarrant, Alvis Tarrant, Thadus Tarrant and Melba Gene Tarrant.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ruth Tarrant of Palestine; a son, Mickey Tarrant of Fort Worth; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
