Last known from War of 1812 Pension application at age 86 in 1871 from Mahaska County Iowa. Auburn Iowa address of G and B "Pierson" in census of 1870. Pension application rejected due to names of officers deemed to be incorrect. Brothers, Cumberland Pearson who was wounded, and William Pearson also served from Prince William County Virginia.

The towns of Auburn and Rochester were side by side on the DesMoines River.
Some say George Pearson died in Iowa 1875. Possibly SE in Lee County where a son lived. Possibly in Wapello County where a grandson Jeremiah Pearson died after drowning in a flood on the DesMoine River in Ottumwa.
