HURLBURT

Ansley Addison Hurlburt died at his home near Silver Springs, Thursday, June 25th, aged 84 years and seven months.
He was born in LeRoy, N. Y., Nov. 16th, 1818, the youngest of a family of nine children, only one surviving, Mrs. Mary E. Childs, now living at Wyoming, who is three years his senior.
The greater part of his life was spent in Wyoming County, residing in the towns of Covington, Perry, Warsaw and Gainesville. He was united in marriage on Jan. 9th, 1845 to Betsey L. Otis, of Perry, N. Y., whose decease occurred in June 1849. To this union was born one son, Charles O. Hurlburt, now residing in Perry. On July 3rd, 1851, he was married to Elizabeth A. Farley, of Stafford, N. Y., to whom was born four sons and a daughter, E. B. Hurlburt of Romeo, Mich., Wm. A. Hurlburt of Silver Springs, Edgar M. Hurlburt and Mrs. W.J. Scott of Warsaw. N. F. Hurlburt having died in July 1902. Again death claimed the wife and mother, on June 11th, 1868.
On September 15th, 1868, he was married to Jennie G. Marcy of Perry, who, with one son, Jesse A. Hurlburt of Silver Springs, survives, to mourn the loss of a kind husband and a loving father.
Funeral services were held at his late home, Sunday June 28, Rev. Hudnett of Castile officiating, with interment at Perry.
