Freddie D. Bone (Pappy), 73, passed away on December 6, 2010, in Dallas, Texas. He was born January 27, 1937, in Georgetown, South Carolina on Rice Hope Plantation to Amon and Aliean Bone.

He married Autry Laverne Turner on August 21, 1959, in Lubbock, Texas.

He spent four years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a great musician who played guitar, banjo, piano and harmonica.

He is survived by his wife, Autry Laverne Bone; daughters, Debra Kay and Rhonda Renee and Daniel (Tank); grandchildren, Melissa Renee and David, Dustin Dwayne (deceased), Brandon Shook, Austin Shook and Kylar Shook; and great-grandson, Logan Elijah McKinsey.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2010, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2010, in the chapel of Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 601 S. Tennessee Street, McKinney, Texas 75069, 972-562-7788. Chaplain James Stephens will officiate.
