Henrietta Goodman Roberts
December 11, 1953:

Mrs. Henrietta (Williams) Goodman Roberts, of Fulton, Missouri died Friday night about 9 o'clock December 11, 1953 at the home of her son, Sheriff Paul Goodman, in Fulton, with whom she had been making her home for several months. She suffered a stroke Thursday morning. She had been suffering from cardio vascular hypotension.

She was born in Calwood February 27, 1873 to the late Thomas Benton and Martha Ellen (Fisher) Williams and the granddaughter of Albert Henry and Sytha (Dawson) Fisher, pioneers from Clark County, Kentucky who migrated to Nine Mile Prairie and Calwood, and Joseph and Rachel (Laremore) Williams, prominent farmer, in Morgan County, Missouri. Joseph's grandparents were early settlers in St. Louis territory, before Missouri became a state.

She was one of ten children all born in Calwood, Missouri.In 1889 Henrietta was married to Robert E. Goodman and had two children Paul, who was Sheriff of Callaway County and Neva (Goodman) Sherman. Robert proceeded her in death July 6, 1925. She married Thomas Mitchell Roberts in 1935. He also proceeded her in death.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by one son, Paul Goodman of Fulton, Missouri; one daughter, Mrs. Neva Sherman of Higginsville, Missouri; three brothers, Vollie Williams of Kansas City, Missouri, John Williams and Joseph Thomas (Tom) Williams, both of Fulton, Missouri; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, two husbands, four sisters, Sarah Elizabeth (Williams) Lovelace, Dora (Willimas) Thomas, Dollie (Williams) Metzger and Cora (Williams) Laremore; two brothers, William Richard (Dick) Williams and Charles (Charley) Williams; one infant brother and one infant sister.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. The Reverand Floyd Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetary.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Great-Aunt Henny has the Fisher/Williams nose, she looks like her brothers. Don't have any pictures of her sisters.
