Notice was in Richmond Times Dispatch 4/12/92. Indicated that Mrs. Almond was age 90. Further stated that she was the wife of Governor James Lindsay Almond, Jr.

Richmond--Josephine Katherine Minter Almond, widow of former Gov. J. Lindsay Almond, died Friday at her Richmond home at the age of 90.
A native of Roanoke, Josephine Minter married Almond in 1925, when he was a lawyer in that city.
Mrs. Almond was president of the Women's Democratic Club of Roanoke. She was also a delegate-at-large from Virginia to the 1940 National Democratic Convention in Chicago.
Almond was governor from 1958 to 1962, during the era of "massive resistance" to racial integration. He died in 1986.
