Bath, NH – Dorothy Jean Bergendahl, 77, died on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Swampscott, MA, July 25, 1931, the daughter of Roland and Alice (Bamford) Devitt. Dorothy married Victor Bergendahl on July 15, 1951. During her working career, she was a cafeteria manager at Dracut High School in Dracut, MA for 20 years, retiring in 1989. She lived in Massachussetts and Southern New Hampshire all her life, until 1995 when she moved to Bath, NH. In her spare time she enjoyed cross word puzzles, following the Boston Sporting Teams and taking care of her cats. She was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Victor Bergendahl on August 9, 1985. Survivors include a daughter, Christine Harris and husband Bill of Mountain Lakes; two sons, Glen Bergendahl of Weymouth, MA and Brian Bergendahl; four grandchildren.
