"Mr. Gus" was a beloved husband, father grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and neighbor. He would do anything for anyone at any time. He was mainstay in his neighborhood on Valley View Dr. for decades, and could frequently be seen sitting in his lawn chair on his front porch watching the happenings on the street. He loved it when people stopped to chat, and he was quick to offer a stick of gum.

Augustynovich, 80, passed from this life into the next on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004 at his home surrounded by his daughters.
A native of Barberton, he was a graduate of Barberton High School Class of '42. After his marriage to Anne (Sorrentino) in 1949, he moved to Wadsworth where he lived until the present. In 1986 he retired from Babcock and Wilcox as a boilermaker supervisor after 44 years of service. He was particularly proud of his work on the nuclear reactors on the USS Nimitz and Enterprise. During World War II, Frank served in the U.S. Army, seeing action in the South Pacific and attaining the rank of sergeant. An avid golfer he played as long as he was physically able, but his true talent was in his mechanical abilities. He was known for being able to fix, construct or manufacture most anything.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, Anne, in 1987, he is survived by three daughters,two granddaughters, one sister, and many loving nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Boleslaw and Teresa (Butryn) Augustynovich, brothers, Pete, Ben, John, Andy and Stephen.
The family will receive friends Sunday 2 to 5 p.m. at the Hilliard & Mullaney Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street, Wadsworth, where funeral serv ice will be held Monday 10 a.m., Rev.
