I don't know where to start. Phillip is one of the sons (and my 3rd Great Grandfather.) His parents came up the Susquehanna river from Luzern, PA, to Glen Aubry. He was married to Betsy Bundy according to the records I have, but I haven't found her gravestone photo yet and Betsy is his wife on 1850 census. I have newspaper articles and books from the 1800's documenting this voyage and settlement of the area. My Dad said when he visited the area in 1992 he counted 47 Councilman gravestones in the Glen Aubry Cemetery.~~ Jane Councilman Weaver ~~Jan 2011

Inscription

Phillip Councilman died Jan 14 1848 aged 63 yrs 2 Mon's below the grass line it says "and 12 days", Glen Aubry Cemetery. Broome Co NY (my dad wrote that when he took the photo in 1992.)
