A.C. (Chris) Sansocie was born Oct. 27, 1876 in Washington Co., Missouri, He lived in the Baxter Springs area for 31 years. He had been employed in the mining field before his retirement.

He is preceeded in death by his parents and one son, Eugene McClure Sansocie.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Mary Elizabeth (Calton) Sansocie, four daughters, Beatrice M. Pickering and Lucille M. Ferris, both of rural Galena, Kansas, Marguerite Lucus of Joplin, Missouri, Lois Daniels of Baxter Springs, Kansas, three sons, Howard M. Sansocie of the home, Harold Sansocie of Galena, Illinois and Dr. Carl Sansocie of Brockport, New York and one brother, Vernon Sansocie and sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
