She was born March 9. 1924 in Chesterfield S.C, a daughter of Melvin McMaster and Lennie Smith Allen.
She was retired Administrative Clerk with Southern Bell. A member of McDonald Baptist Church for 45 years, having served as fmancial secretary and Sunday school teacher.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.ill. at McDonald Baptist Church, conducted by the "Rev. Robert Tyson and the Rev. J. C. McQueen. Burial will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
Surviving are her husband, Franklin "Mack" Haigler; one son. James "Jimmy" Melvin Haigler of Rockingham and one granddaughter; four brothers, Jack Allen of Lumberton. Battle "Bill" Allen of Greensboro, Ethan Allen of Burlington, and Leland Allen of Garner; and three sisters, Mrs. Otis A Dabbs of Elizabeth City. Mrs. Ruth A. Gordon or Lancaster, Ca. and Mrs. Helen A. Cannady of Clinton.
Visitation will be this evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at McDonald Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to McDonald Baptist Church. 259 McDonald Church Rd., Rockingham
