Marie was a housewife all her married years and a wonderful mother to 6 children: Runnell Patton, Charles Burgess, Carolyn LaRusa, Judy Thomas, Tanita Marshall and Norman Burgess, Sr. She is survived by one sister Jeanice Nunley of Alabama and many good friends. She loved working in the yard and visiting with her favorite daughter-in-law Libby.
She came to Indianapolis in 1938 with her husband and 3 of her children and had 3 more children here in Indianapolis. She attended Church at Liberty Baptist Church in Indianapolis and was also a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Kentucky.
