A resident of San Pedro, Mary Helen Abreu passed away December 12, 2010 at home. Mary was born on January 28, 1934 in Los Angeles, California. Mary worked for Thompson Vitamin Company in Carson, California for over twenty years. Mary was known for her amazing smile, quick wit and flaming red hair. Her heart was larger than life. Mary was loved by many. She will live on through her family and friends and will be missed equally so. Mary is survived by her three children, Joyce Bracero, Ronald Monroe and Raymond Monroe. She is the proud and loving grandmother to James Bracero, Lisa Bracero, Nicolette Monroe, Katherine Monroe and Austin Monroe. Mary is also great grandmother to Blake Bracero. Viewing will be December 29, 2010 from 9am-11am at Green Hills Cemetery. Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the Green Hills Chapel, 27501 South Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, (310) 831-0311. Inurnment will be private.
