Presidential Cabinet Secretary. He graduated from Brown University in 1856 and afterward spent three years in the Harvard Law School. Served in two Cabinet positions during President Grover Cleveland's 2nd term in office. First served as United States Attorney General from 1893 to 1895, then as United States Secretary of State from 1895 to 1897.
