Born March 20, 1948, in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Harry G. and Marian (Helman) Shader.
Thomas had worked as a warehouseman for D&H Distributing and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #730, Progress Fire Company Home Assn., and the Knights of Columbus.
He loved hunting and fishing and loved listening to New Age music with his son and brother.
Surviving is a son, Thomas Harry Shader of Shamokin; a brother, David G. Shader of Martinsburg, WV; a sister, Donna L. Hoffman of Harrisburg; 3 grandchildren; and his companion, Sue Bamford.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen P. (Corbett) Shader, and a sister, Margaret "Peggy" Heiss.
Interment will be in Shoop's Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
