skillful physicians and loving care could do for her was done, but she was unable to rally. Attended by her mother, Mrs. Joanne McKee, of Fayette county, Pa,, her sister, Mrs. Annette Harrah, of Uniontown, Pa., her husband and her sons, Mrs. Jack passed away peacefully. Josephine McKee was born in Fayette county, Pa., April 15, 1838, and on Feb. 6,1868, she became the wife of Hon. S. S. Jack. The family removed to Decatur in the Spring of 1870, Mr. Jack having come here in September, 1869. The deceased
was the mother of four sons, the eldest past 20 years and the youngest 13. All are living. They are Frank, Edgar E., Thomas B. and Cecil M. Jack. It was during the pastorate of Dr. McKenzie that Mrs. Jack united with the First Presbyterian Church, of which she had ever been a consistent member. Her life was that of a noble woman, devoted to her home and her family. Her loss to the bereaved husband and children is one that cannot be expressed in words. The home which has known the faithful and loving wife and the devoted mother will know her no more, and in church and social circles she will be missed.
