Clara Lee Nichols, age 77, of Fulton, Missouri passed away Tuesday November 18, 2008, at her home.
Clara was born May 12, 1931, in New Haven, Missouri, the daughter of the late Walter and Clara Hiatt Campbell. On December 13, 1950 she married Glyn Nichols in Fulton. He survives at their home.
Clara is survived by four sons, Ray Hiatt of Columbia, Missouri, Mike Nichols, Jerry Nichols and Tommy Nichols all of Fulton, Missouri; three daughters, Deanna Herron of Columbia, Missouri, Sarah Rees and Sandi Houchins both of Fulton, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; several neices and nephews.
Clara was an E.E.G. Technition for Dr. Somers at Neurology Inc. in Columbia. she later owned and operated the Spot Cafe in Fulton, afterwards she went to work at Walmart. She was a member of the Women's Bowling Association.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00PM Friday evening, November 21 at the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with the Reverend Mike Crowson officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5PM until time of service. Private burial will be held at a later date at Callaway Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
I never see a Pancy
With it's lovely little face
I never see a garden
With it's beauty and it's grace
But what I think of friendship
With it's powers to give a lift
And always I'm reminded
That a friend is God's on gift!
