Henry Tuttle, a native of Virginia, was a resident of Wayne County, Iowa, when he enlisted and mustered in Co I 4th Iowa Cavalry on Dec. 22, 1863 at the age of 25 years. He mustered out of service Aug. 8, 1865 at Atlanta, Georgia.
Tuttle applied for his pension in Missouri on Feb. 16, 1883. App #472,760 and Cert # 822,933. His wife, Sarah, applied for her widow's pension in Oklahoma May 23, 1911. App #965,429 and Cert #738,799. Date of death on pension record is April 10, 1911.
