AZLE - Reginald W. "Reggie" Hill, 43, a transmission shop owner, fireman and paramedic, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002 at his residence.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday at Forest Ridge Funeral Home, 705 Airport Frwy. in Hurst. Burial: Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. Visitation: Noon to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home

Reginald W. Hill was born May 28, 1958 in Beaumont, Texas. Reggie graduated from Haltom High School in 1976. From an early age he had a natural gift for mechanics. By the time he was 15 he built his first racing engine that was a slant 6 and out ran a Corvette. He volunteered for the Watauga Fire Department in 1979 and joined the Bedford Fire Department in 1984, where he primarily served as a paramedic. He continued his dream and in 1995 opened his own transmission shop in Azle, where he was known as the best in the business. He was loved by many friends and family and will always be in our hearts.

Reggie was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather in 2001.

Survivors: Daughter, Deanndra Huddleston and husband, Erik; parents, Joe R. and Hazel Hill; brother, Don Griffith; sisters, Darlene Hamilton and husband, Butch, and Carolyn Townsend and husband, Ken; grandchild, Conner Huddleston; aunts, Judith Hill and Joan Morgan; nieces, Michelle Greene and Tammy Cunningham; nephews, Mitchel Hamilton, Chris Hamilton; and special friend, Buffy.
