Emma married Thomas Nichols Cockerill 27 Jan 1831 in Howard County, Missouri. They had at least eight children.

COCKERILL - Mrs Emma A was born in Fairfax co, Va, 11 Sept 1804; removed with her parents to St Louis, Mo, in the year 1818; from thence to Old Chariton, in Chariton co, in 1819; was married to Dr Thomas N Cockerill in 1831; professed religion at Soule Chapel in year 1840 and joined the M E Church, of which she was a member until her death, which occurred 23 Oct 1871. Her husband died in June 1862, leaving her a widow for over nine years. She exhorted her children and friends to meet her in heaven. - Thos J Gooch.
