PINKEY OLIVER
ADAMS, SR., DIES
Pinkey Oliver Adams, Sr., a rancher near Matador, Tex., for 40 years, died Friday afternoon in his home at 207 South Fourth Street. Mr. Adams, who had been ill for some time, had lived here since 1943.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the West Chapel, with Lloyd Larey of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating. Burial will be in Carlsbad Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be A.E. Duncan, A.J. Dalton, Gerald Elmore, Virgil L. Nading, Ray Caviness and Earl Bowers.
Besides his wife, Lillie Mae, Mr. Adams is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ed Jamison of Matador, Mrs. J.B. Dobbins and Mrs. L.D. Hill of Carlsbad; three sons, Alton, Eldron and Pinkey, Jr., all of Carlsbad, and nine grandchildren.
