Dorothy was a graduate of the Pennsylvania College for Women (Chatham); taught nursery school at the Brighton Roads Presbyterian Church; was a founding member of the Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society; wrote "Presbyterian Churches in Allegheny County" and was a long-time member of The Community Presbyterian Church, Ben Avon.
