MARY ANGELA SCHELE, 96, passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at The Town House Reit-rement Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Butler Ind., Mary Angela was a housewife. She graduated from Southside High School and Northwestern University. She married Edward T. Schele August 5, 1939; who preceded her in death Feb. 25, 1990. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church; Rosary Solidarity Society; Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority; former member and president of Fort Wayne Jr. League, Fort Wayne Ballet Guild; and Fort Wayne Country Club. She volunteered as a Gray Lady during World War II and the Fort Wayne Art League. She is survived by her son, David B.. (Judy) Schele of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Matthew D. Schele of Huntington Beach, Calif. and Julie A. Schele of Fort Wayne. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Hugh T. and Sara (White) Berkey. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, with calling one hour prior. Msgr. John N. Suelzer officiating. Calling is from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Mungovan & sons Memorial Chapel, 2114 South Calhoun St., with a rosary at 2:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
