Juanita E. ‘Neniey' Nodine Dishon, 84, Purdy, died December 21, 2010 at Mt. Vernon Place Care Center, Mt. Vernon, MO, following a lengthy illness. Juanita was born July 17, 1926 in McClave, CO, the daughter of Buster E. and Elsie L. Bowles Nodine. She graduated from Rocky Comfort High School in 1946 and had taught school at Powell for one year and then worked as a fruit sorter at Sim's Fruit Ranch in Idaho. She returned to the Pineville and Jane community in the late 1960's, was a member of the Powell Church of Christ and had attended the Pineville Baptist Church. She was known by her family as the goodie maker for the special desserts she prepared. Juanita married Herman Dishon on Oct. 6, 1945 and he preceded her in death in Jan. 1977. She is survived by a son, Tommy Dishon and wife, Linda, Woodburn, ORE; one brother, James Dishon and wife, Lilly, Colcord, OK; two sisters, Helen Morgan, Purdy and Pearlie Creasser and husband, Jeff, Salem, ORE; one grandson, David Dishon, Kiezer, ORE; a granddaughter, Wendy Rowe and husband, Rob, Salem, ORE and great granddaughter, Belana Rowe and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Rossie Dishon; three infant sons and three brothers, Ronnie, Jack and George Dishon. Services will be Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Brother Bob Day and Larry Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Fox Cemetery, Powell and serving as pallbearers will be Richie Nodine, Nicky Nodine, Steve Nodine, Mike Morgan, Jimmy Morgan and Troy Morgan.
