Mrs. Kirby was born Dec 23, 1889 in Forney and was an 83-year resident of Smith County. She was a housewife and a member of Harris Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, W. E. Kirby and J. D Kirby Jr, both of Tyler; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Taliaferro, Tyler, and Mrs. Joyce Christian, Minden, La.; a brother Otto Dozier, Lindale; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great-great childchild.
Pallbearers will be Rex Kirby, Monroe Kirby, Elton Kirby, Randall Kirby, Dickie Kirby, William Taliaferro, Cecil Taliaferro and James Christian.
