Henry was a hatter with his father in the family firm, "Wm. Sprinkle & Sons, Hatters." Later, he was a farmer. In retirement, he moved into Marion. He is said to have owned the entire hill behind the freight station.
There is a large on-the-ground, tablet-like marker in the Sprinkle lot, which is in memory of Henry, his wife Nancy, two of his children, three grandchildren, plus his brother Arch & Arch's wife Phebe.
