Fay Dean Giles, 71, of Taylorsville, died at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Mrs. Giles was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, walking and riding bikes.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. There will be no calling.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 E. 17th St., Columbus, IN 47201.

Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.

Born in Columbia, Ky., Nov. 14, 1938, Mrs. Giles was the daughter of Ples and Annae Rose (Burton) Burton. She married Elvin L. Giles on July 10, 1954. He preceded her in death Feb. 27, 1996.

Survivors include a son, Douglas (Beth) Giles of Columbus; a daughter, Bev (Pat) Giles-Kiel of Columbus; a friend, Roger Mathis; a former daughter-in-law, Annette Donica Blythe of Brown County; grandchildren, Stephen and Gregory Giles of Columbus, Craig (Brooke) Kiel of Columbus, Taylor Kiel of Indianapolis and Stephanie (Bryan) Beckwith of Florida; great-grandchildren, Zachary Kiel, Rylee Kiel and Jordan Kiel, all of Columbus, and Erich Beckwith of Florida; a brother, J.C. Burton of Bargersville; and sisters, Avanell Coffey of Indianapolis and Patty Jones of Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Joey Giles; and brothers, Paul, Cashes, Hansel and Levon Burton.
