Funeral services for Naval Airman Robert Bryan Cotten, 21, of 5811 Banting, killed July 29 in a fire and explosion aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal off North Vietnam, will be held at 2 p. m. Friday in Anderson-Clayton Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park.


A native of Dallas, Cotten attended elementary school here before moving to Mesquite in 1955. He attended Mesquite High School and was in the Naval Reserve three years before going on active duty in BF11 Fighter Squadron for one year.


Survivors, all of Dallas: Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Murray; two brothers, Glenn Cotten and Ronald Cotten; and a sister, Frances Murray.
