Ana Maria Perez-Escudero, born August 9, 1917 in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, passed away January 3, 2003.

She was the founding president of the Club Damas de Puerto Rico en San Antonio and was recently honored at their 25th Anniversary Gala Ball. She was also an honorary member of the Beta Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.

Other affiliations include the Marianist Mothers Club, San Antonio Women's Federation and the Council of International Relations. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Edmundo.

She is survived by her four children and their families: Edmund Escudero and his spouse Mary Ann O'Donnell-Escudero of Cincinnati, OH, and their children Jamie, Mia and Marisa; Emilio Escudero and his spouse Tani Fernandez of Berkeley, CA and their children Andrea and Chris Carroll, Diego and Sofia; Edna Escudero-Boggess of San Antonio and her children, Jennifer and Fred Garza, Jonathan and Kara Boggess, Joey Boggess and Hallee Martin; Ana Maria Nita Escudero-Hotard and her spouse Rick Hotard of San Antonio and their children, Anne Marie and Lee Weldon, Rickey, Christy, Katie and Teresa and a great-grandson, Zachary Edmundo Garza.

She is also survived by her brother Jesus Perez-Mandez of Cataño, Puerto Rico, two sister-in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
