Jonathan Paul Christie
Jonathan Paul Christie was born June 25, 1981, and went home December 14, 2010.He is survived by his mother, Donna Haley; father, Steven Christie; brothers, Greg Case and David Christie; grandmother, Bobbye Jones; aunts, Debbee Reynolds and Sharon Hudson and husband Alfred; cousins, Julie, Cindy, Mark, Shaun and Cindy Reynolds and their son Austin, Jennifer and Frank Richardson and their children, Brina and Charlie.

He became a child of God at the age of 15 years. He was strong in his Christian faith, even when faced with his long illness. He studied his Bible every day.

He graduated from North Mesquite High School in 1999 and attended Eastfield College until his illness no longer permitted.

Jonathan enjoyed many things in his short 29 years. Most of all, he loved his Lord first and then his family. We, his family, grieve at his passing. He watches and smiles at us with his blessing.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010, at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2010, at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home Chapel, with Bill Wright and Wayne Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park.
