Charles E. Blimling, 78, Normal, passed away at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 22, 2010) at his residence.
He was born Dec. 21, 1932 in Murrayville, a son of Roy Vertrees and Mabel Louetta McCurley Blimling. He married Barbara Jean Tosh on Aug. 7, 1955 in Bloomington. She passed away May 2, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his daughter, Janice (Steve Watkins) Petersen, Clinton; his son, Larry (Rose Stein) Blimling, Herrick; one grandson, Erik (Leah) Petersen, and their children, Logan, Olivia and Aiden, all of Clinton; one granddaughter, Erin Petersen and her children, Asiah and Ivori, all of Clinton; two brothers, Dean Blimling, Normal, and Dale (Florence) Blimling, Roodhouse and two sisters, Mable Henkle, Normal, and Peg (Ralph) Ash, LeRoy.
