OBITUARY - Peru Tribune, Peru (IN)
Marie O. Roark, 82, Peru, passed away Friday, Nov. 7, 2003 at 3:50 p.m. at Dukes Continuing Care, Peru. She was born Jan. 31, 1921 in Perry, Ark., to Thomas and Rebecca (Pope) Martin. In 1936 she married William "Doc" Roark, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 1969.

She was retired from General Tire in Wabash.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie K. (Stephen) Gehring, Peru; son, William T. Roark, Peru; four grandchildren, Jessica Gunderson, Justin Akard, Wayne Hughes and Mike Aulds; three great-grandchildren, Josh Aulds, Jake Aulds and Jordan Edwards; one great-great-grandchild, Cole Aulds; and a sister, Sue Cossey, Hamburg, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one daughter, two sons, three brothers and a sister.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003 at 1 p.m. at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, with Pastor Tom Robbins officiating. Interment was at Mount Hope Cemetery.
