Son of Thomas A. Moneypenny and Rebecca Waldeck. Married Sarah Ann Givens. They had three children, Thomas Adam, Robert Frederick and Laura May. Laura May died March 20 1844 at age 11. James served as a Pvt. in the Co K 1st West Virginia Calvary during the Civil War and was held as POW from Jan until April of 1863. He served 3 years and four months.
He was my great grandfather.
