Mrs. Florence V. Benedict, aged 62 years, wife of Allison S. Benedict, 223 South Church street, died in the Waynesboro hospital at 1:45 this morning of complications.

Mrs. Benedict had been seriously ill for the last week and several days ago was removed to the Waynesboro hospital where she underwent an operation.

She was born September 30, 1871, in Hagerstown, the daughter of John and Barbara Kale. She was a member of hte Church of the Brethren of Waynesboro.

Surviving are her husband and these children: Mrs. R. H. Layman, Hollins, Va., Gale, at home, and Miss Elizabeth, Philadelphia. Two brothers and one sister: Fred Kale, Hagerstown; Edward Kale, Baltimore, and MRs. Mollie Hager, at home, also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the late home in charge of Rev. Levi K. Ziegler, assisted by Rev. C. R. Oellig and REv. Frank G. Coleman, Hagerstown. Iterment will be made in Green Hill cemetery.
