Final Rites Are Held Wednesday For L. V. Mhoon.

Final tribute was paid to Lude V. Mhoon, who died from gunshot wounds at his home July 15 at 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Church of Christ.

Mr. Mhoon was born August 12, 1875, at Fayetteville, Arkansas. On April 4, 1897 he was united in marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Mhoon moved to Wills Point 45 years ago to make their home. April 4 of this year they observed their golden wedding anniversary.

Flowery words are not needed to describe the kind of life Mr. Mhoon lived for the memories he leaves behind with his many friends speaks louder than words ever will. He was not a great man nor did he ever become famous in the eyes of the world but to his children he was the greatest man on earth. Mr. Mhoon left to his children a great heritage and one they can always cherish.

He joined the Church of Christ in 1892 and lived and taught the only way he knew the way of a Christian man.

Surviving relatives include his wife, five daughters, Mrs. Gladys Tucker, Mrs. Birdie Childress of Wichita Falls, Mrs. Mae Brackeen, Mrs. Rube Courtney and Mrs. Pearl Kent; three sons, W. R., L., Jr. and Leon Mhoon, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Interment was in White Rose Cemetery under the direction of Williams funeral directors.
