Bobby served his country in the United States Army and Navy during World War II.
He was married to his first wife, Gladys, on February 2, 1952, and she preceded Bobby in death in 1976. He was then united in marriage to Norma Blevins on July 14, 1977.
Bobby was a member of the Republic Free Will Baptist Church, the American Legion, and the VFW. After Bobby retired from the Ford Motor Company in Claycomo, near Kansas City, he enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, fishing, and listening to music.
Others who have preceded Bobby in death were: a daughter, Sonja Metcalf; a sister, Doris Henson; and his parents.
He is survived by: his wife, Norma, of the home; 12 children and their spouses, Ronald and Cindy Allman, Silverdale, Wash., Randall Allman, Sheila and Steve VanKeirsbilck, and Bealyndia and Kelly Madsen, all of Kansas City, Mo., Paula Allman, Sarasota, Fla., Marlisa Clark, San Diego, Calif., Deanna Allman, Nashville, Tenn., Vicki and Bill Monholland, Billings, Mo., Connie and Kenny Killman, Forsyth, Mo., Penny Truly, Republic, Mo., Harold and Donna Metcalf, Armstrong, Mo., and John Brewer, Reeds Spring, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis Allman, Aurora, Mo., and Joe Allman, Southbend, Ind.; a sister, Eva Eubanks, Aurora, Mo.; and many other relatives and close friends.
No visitation is planned. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, with Rev. Don Anderson officiating. A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 in White Chapel Cemetery, Gladstone, Mo., under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home.
