Mrs. Kate L. Snively
Mrs. Kate L. Snively, widow of the late John L. Snively, died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. Mae Line, at 7:30 o’clock last evening. Mrs. Snively had been ill only a few days, after contracting a heavy cold, and she was confined to her bed only a few hours before death. She was in her 88th year but retained a remarkable mental vitality.
Mrs. Snively was the daughter of the late Frederick & Debora Wagner of German Valley, Illinois. She had lived in Keedysville for the last 63 years. Her husband died 40 years ago. She was one of the best loved women in her community; she was a faithful Christian and a daily Bible reader.
She is survived by one son, John Snively of Winchester, VA; two daughters, Mrs. E. Mae Line & Mrs. Lillie K. Line, of Keedysville. Six grandchildren & seven great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at the home of her daughter, Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conductd by Rev. Albert Klinger, of the Reformed Church.
