"Death of Mrs. Alice Adams
Mrs. Alice Sophia Adams, wife of Benjamin Adams, of Millport, Warwick township, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Walter S. Stauffer, at Rothsville, on Sunday morning about 6:15 o'clock, aged 54 years, 8 [sic] months and 10 days. Mrs. Adams was taken suddenly ill while in Rothsville several days previous and was taken to the home of her sister. Death was due to neuralgia of the heart. Mrs. Adams was born in Lititz and was a daughter of John H. Young and the late Hettie Young. She was a member of the Evangelical church for the past thirty years. Besides the husband, the following children survive, namely: Harry, Wilmer, Chester, of Rothsville; Emma, wife of Harry Johnson, of Akron; Bessie, wife of Silas Singer, of Bareville; Frank, of Lansdowne, Lloyd, Helen and Homer, at home. The father, residing at Rothsville, and brother, Oscar of Millport, two sisters, Mrs. George Grube, of Oregon, and Mrs. W. W. S. Stauffer, of Rothsville, also survive. The funeral was held on Wednesday, with services in the Millport Union church and interment in the adjoining cemetery. Revs. Boyer and Hagner officiated."
