Death
Mr. A.M. Kennedy, of Camden, died suddenly on last Saturday aged 76 years. He was the father of Gen. John D. Kennedy who is well known here. He was a native of Scotland and came to this country when about twelve years of age. The funeral services were held on Sunday and the remains interred in the Quaker Cemetery.

Anthony McMillan Kennedy and John McMillan Kennedy (123362508) came to Camden, SC in 1832 and remained with their cousin Thomas McMillan and were followed by their brother, Robert McMillan Kennedy in 1842. John settled in the North, and Anthony McMillan Kennedy and his brother Robert McMillan Kennedy 1821-1896 (63304772) married sisters, Sarah Ann and Margaret Doby daughters of John and Ann Belton Doby.
