GENE J. MONTGOMERY
*Gene J. Montgomery, 71, of 22524 Highway 126, Noti, died Wednesday, June 27. He was born in Oklahoma Feb. 17, 1913 and was married to Pauline Jackson April 22, 1951 in Reno, Nev. He was the owner of Noti Atlantic Richfield Service Station for 16 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and traveling throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife; five children, Grace and Janice, both of Fort Worth, Texas; Gerald and Sue, both of Hugo, Okla.; and Carolyn, Valliant, Okla.; two step-children, Catherine, Clarksville, Texas; and Thelma, Springfield; one brother, Eb Montgomery, Snyder, Okla.; two sisters, Catherine(*sic), California; and Grace, Snyder, Okla.; several grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 30, at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home with the Rev. James Caulley officiating. Committal service was at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Elmira-Noti Fire Department.

Eugene is what he was named at birth, but called Gene. My mother was named after him. He is my Grandmother, Norah Bray's brother".
