OBITUARY Levi H. Webster was born in DePere, Wisconsin, June 28, 1843. When about five years of age his parents moved on a farm a few miles out from town, and there they cleared a heavily timbered farm. He lived there until the Civil War, when he enlisted first in the 14th Wisconsin, but was thrown out on account of his under size. He tried a second time with the same result. Finally in 1862 he enlisted in Co. F, 20th Volunteers and serving during the remainder of the war. While he was serving his country both his father and mother died. On April 19, 1869 he married Josephine Tibbets. From then on he was engaged in farming. On April 17, 1879 his wife died, leaving four children, all of whom are living now.
