Robert D. Wellington, age 67, passed away December 18, 1992.
Born November 13, 1925 in Salt Lake City to John R. and Dora Lunnen Wellington. He married Afton Jones December 7, 1946; solemnized September 24, 1988 in the Jordan River LDS Temple. Member of the LDS Church, he was a High Priest secretary, president of the Utah Pheasant Society, and was a postal carrier for 19 years. Veteran World War II, Navy.
He is survived by his wife; children, Mrs. Edward (Beverleen) Garnett, Huntington Beach, Calif.; and William Lester (Cindie) Breeze, Lexington, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his mother of Salt Lake City; sister, Mrs. Doris Wilkensen, Salt Lake City; brothers, Gordon of Sandy; Keith of Salt Lake City; and Eugene of Murray. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 21, 1992, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hunter 10th East Ward, 5000 West Pavant Ave (3800 South). Viewing will be Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at the Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, and one hour prior to services at the church Monday. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
