Laverne Williams age 89 of Denton passes away Friday November 19, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. She was born October 10, 1921 in Denton County to Matthew and Sarah (Feaster) Salsman. She married Elmer D. Williams August 15, 1938 in Denton. He passed away in 1997. Laverne worked in Food Service for DISD and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She is survived by her son Bobby D. Williams and wife Jeanette of Denton. Daughter Shelia Darby of Arizona and her sister Elva Pockrus of Lake Dallas. Three grandchildren Mike Williams, Greg Williams, and Lori Taylor, and three great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be hel at 11 A.M. Monday, November 22, 2010 in the Mulkey Mason Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home Chapel, 705 N. Locust, Denton with Dr. Don Dyal, officiating. . Burial will follow at Flower Mound Cemetery in Flower Mound.
