HAVE RITES FOR LYSON AT SPOKANE
Funeral services for Kirstine Lyson were held July 28. Reverend Michael Wiser officiated at the service at Good Samaritan Chapel at Spokane. Interment followed in The Pines Cemetery, Spokane. Mrs. Lyson, 92, died July 24 in Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
Pallbearers were grandsons Marvin Larsen, Keith Lyson, Garry Lyson, Carl Lyson, Steve Benefield, and Richard Murray.
Kirstine Nielsen was born September 24, 1891 at Chicago, the daughter of Jens and Anne Marie Nielsen. When she was 15 the family moved to Montana to homestead in the Dagmar community in March 1907. Her father died in 1909, and her mother in 1948. Kirstine married Lawrence Larsen in 1910, he died in 1919. In 1925 she married Carl Lyson. He died in 1953.
She enjoyed music, and loved to play the violin and piano. She played for many dances, enjoyed crocheting and fancy work.
Kirstine and Carl and their four sons moved to California in October 1941. They moved to Spokane in 1947.
Survivors include one daughter, Cora Anderson, of Plentywood; eight sons: Theodore Larsen of Clearlake Oaks, Calif; Arthur Larsen of Martinez, Calif; Richard Larsen of Billings; Lawrence Larsen of Thompson Falls; Leonard Lyson, Allen Lyson and Marlin Lyson of Spokane; and Maynard Lyson of Post Falls, Idaho; one sister, Dagmar Way of Redding, Calif; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by one son, George Larsen; five brothers: Ludvig, Victor, Ansgar, Wally, and Alfred, and one sister, Agnes Nielsen.
