Myrtle was the daughter of Jacob Edwards and Cellie Vetra Wells. She married Howard Hoxsey on February 23, 1930, at Girard, Illinois. They had two daughtters, Betty Lou, who married Rev. Gerald Steffy, and Bonnie Fay, who married Wayne Mohr.
