He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas with over 38 years of service and after his retirement, he started the B and G Contracting along with his son.
Mr. Bowen was an avid fisherman and was a member of Hunt Street Full Gospel Church.
Mr. Bowen is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Freeman) Bowen, son, Randy Bowen and his wife Linda of Westminster, daughter, Ellen Booth and her husband, Jim, daughter, Melinda Cade and her husband, Tim, sisters, Mildred Smith, Lucille Duckett and JoAnn Marett, five grandchildren, Stacy Norris, Michael Gaines, Deven Gaines, Hayley Black, Justin Cade, four great-grandchildren, Ryan Norris, Kayla Norris, Kylie Gaines and Taylor Gaines, all of Anderson.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Ezra and Ernest Bowen and sister, Levine Whitworth.
